Online Maker Resources!

I wanted to share a great online resource for anyone interested in making. The Twitter feed #MakerEdSpace includes tweets from leaders in the maker community as well as enthusiasts  sharing their own maker creations. Included in this Twitter feed is helpful information on how to outfit your own makerspace, tips and suggestions for new, innovative maker projects, as well as information regarding up and coming organizations devoted to the advancement of maker education, such as Maker Ed’s Young Makers’ Program. While scrolling through #MakerEdSpace, I found an excellent YouTube video documenting how maker education is transforming the way in which young people are exposed to STEM education in our schools and communities. The video, posted by the Maker Education Initiative, is titled, “The Impact of Maker Education,” and can be accessed using this link: Another video shared by this initiative is, “Maker Ed – The Work and the Impact,” which gives a more in depth look into the maker movement and how it impacts our students.
